How it works

 Uncontested divorce process

STEP 1

You must sit down with your partner and agree to the divorce and all terms involved.
You will also need to have a signed and final marital settlement agreement.

STEP 2

Then you would want to call a divorce mediator to go over how to receive the divorce paperwork and file a petition for divorce.

STEP 3

Send your divorce paperwork to your local courthouse.

STEP 4

In most cases, the divorce can be handled by mail or by brief contact with the judge or the judge’s clerk.
